This invitation poster was designed and off-set-printed for a movie night at the Faculty of Design in Darmstadt. The movie »Der Siebente Kontinent« is a 1989 Austrian drama film directed by Michael Haneke, reportedly inspired by a true story of an Austrian middle class family that committed suicide. In the end the family goes about systematically destroying every possession in the house. This systematically destroying was the main design element in my poster design process. The communication medium poster was destroyed in the same automatic and lifelessness manner the family acts. Furthermore the structure of the film title was also disarranged in an unnatural way.
